With over 30 years of front-line leadership experience in operations including multimillion dollar change and transformation programs, I have developed a unique appreciation for cultural norms (how workplaces tick) and have a keen interest in AI enabled change. I support and guide leaders to become more adaptable in a changing work environment and assist in accelerating change adoption.

The coaching process will also enable new leaders to step up and move from simply managing people, to leading them and underpinning sustainable change and business performance improvement.

What does Leadership Coaching achieve?

Coaching isn’t something you do to someone; It’s something you do for yourself. The coach is not the ‘technical’ expert but serves as a partner to help and support the leader to become more effective in their role.

Why is leadership coaching useful?

The dynamic work environment today means that leaders need to be confident and adaptable in the workplace. Leadership is about people and when coaching you nearly always find that people are ‘stuck’ to some degree, it can be a combination of bad habits, attitudes, beliefs, Interpersonal relationships or a limited self-awareness of how others view your leadership style. It could be that you are very new to the leadership role or have recently changed roles and it has more of a leadership aspect.

I like to create a relationship with the client so that they feel comfortable sharing the challenges they are dealing with and to create an opportunity for a confidential dialogue that they look forward to on a regular basis

I have a background in both change and leadership coaching, and many years of hands-on leadership experience. I can adapt my approach to support the leader in becoming more effective and confident in their leadership capabilities and also guide the leader to more effectively manage the ‘people’ side of the business change or transition which is a capability that every leader needs during transformation Initiatives.

Effective Coaching

My area of expertise is helping leaders become more effective in their roles. I typically work with Managers Superintendents, and Supervisors to provide personalised coaching that assists in developing self-awareness and enables the leader to identify any behaviours or gaps in their skill set that may be impacting their effectiveness or future potential.

Leadership coaching is a semi-structured one on one process that is tailored to suit the client’s needs and expectations. It is an “intended conversation” that is designed to build capabilities and confidence in new or established leaders. It can be designed to achieve short- or longer-term goals and can be personalised to meet individual needs and the greater goals of the business
